TERMINOLOGY
We encourage the use of terminology for the students to familiarize themselves with Korean terminology used in class. We also teach proper manners which help develop courtesy, self-esteem, and self-control.

“Tae" means "foot" or "to strike with the feet". "Kwon" means "hand", or "to strike with the hand". "Do" means discipline, art or way. Therefore, Tae Kwon Do (foot-hand-way) literally means "the art of the feet and the hands" or "the art of kicking and punching".
